Dr. Idowu is a graduate of the University College Hospital, Ibadan Nigeria. She completed her rotational internship at the University College Hospital, Ibadan Nigeria. She worked as a Medical Officer at Duro Soleye Hospital and as an emergency room physician at the Ikeja General Hospital, Lagos Nigeria. In 1994, she traveled to the United States where she studied for and took the ECFMG examination. Dr. Idowu did a residency in Internal medicine at he Cook County Hospital Chicago, IL after which she worked as a service physician in the Ambulatory Care Screening Department of the same hospital. Dr. Idowu is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, she is certified in Pediatric Advance Life Support and Advance Cardiac Life Support.
