Dr. Basel Katerji, MD

Dr. Basel Katerji was born and raised in Aleppo, Syria. He graduated from Aleppo University School of Medicine and completed his pediatrics residency at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. With over eight years of experience working with children and young adults in office settings and at hospitals, Dr. Katerji has treated a wide range of pediatric illnesses, including Asthma and allergy, Diabetes, Obesity, and ADHD, to name a few. He is affiliated with medical facilities, including MacNeal Hospital, Advocate South Suburban Hospital, and AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center Joliet. Dr. Katerji believes that promoting overall wellness is key to supporting a better physical health. He enjoys talking to families about healthy habits, focusing on increased levels of activity, and helping children improve their nutrition, which will boost their immune system and reflect on their whole wellbeing. Dedicated to delivering exceptional care to ensure children get the care they deserve, Dr. Katerji loves working with and serving the community. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son. His hobbies include hiking, reading, and traveling
