Dr. Jacqueline Olivo, MD

Dr. Jacqueline Olivo was born in Trujillo, Peru. She is the 5th of twelve children. From an early age she enjoyed science and helping people in need. That inspired her to become a doctor. At the age of 17, she enrolled at the University of San Luis Gonzaga, in the city of Ica, where she earned her medical degree with honors. Her first practice was at the Hospital Dos de Mayo in Lima, where she helped poor Peruvians have access to health care services. She was later awarded a medical scholarship to continue her studies in Barcelona, Spain. She completed her residency in Neurosurgery at El Clínico de Barcelona Hospital in 1994. She came to the United States to continue her residency at St. Francis Hospital in Chicago while providing medical assistance to poor families in the community. A year later, she is transferred to the University of Illinois where she completed her residency in Family Medicine in 2005. She became an attending physician at Michael Reese Hospital practicing OB/GYN and family medicine in the South Side of Chicago. She moved to her new clinic to start her own practice at Fullerton & Western Clinic. Today she continues to serve her community by providing affordable health care. She also takes an active role in educating the future doctors of America with hands on experience at her clinics.
